0 Guide for Safe Operation of <br />the San -I -Pak Sterilizer/Compactor <br />Index No. SAF 30.95.00 <br />C. Load chamber <br />d. Lock load chamber door <br />e. Press F 1 on keyboard <br />f. Enter position number on keyboard <br />g. Press enter <br />h. Press 0 for auto discharge <br />i. Press enter <br />j. Check to assure red light is on <br />k. check machine in 15 minutes <br />1. If not in sterilization cycle, call maintenance <br />M. Call maintenance for any irregularities <br />B. Compactor Operation <br />1. Never enter the compactor box area unless you personally have insured the power <br />is in the off position, locked out, and you must be properly suited up. <br />2. Load the chamber to no more than the full level. <br />3. Press compact button located to the left of the compactor. <br />4. The compactor ram will move forward and compact the load into the container <br />and return to the ready position automatically. <br />5. The compactor ram can be stopped at any time by depressing the Emergency Stop <br />button. The compaction operation may be started from position it stopped at by <br />pressing start. <br />6. The compactor will be locked 24 hours a day. It will be opened only when <br />loading unit and only by employees of the following departments: housekeeping, <br />maintenance and purchasing.
