• • 2/12/2020 <br />RCRA Hazardous Medications <br />Any pharmaceutical that you are alerted to dispose of in the <br />black container: <br />RCRA medications left in a lyrin e w sharps. dispose in the <br />small Black Container (2gallon) <br />• RCRA containers must be kept closed while not in use <br />• Must be labeled with the accumulation start date, generator <br />name and address <br />• 9 month limit in SAA <br />• 3 month limit in CAA <br />Less than 5% of the hospital's formulary is <br />disposed here <br />Alert for RCRA Hazardous Rx Waste <br />RCRA rated medication is labeled with a decal indicating "Black Bucket", "Hazardous", etc. <br />There is also printed list of RCRA rated medications in the medication room <br />7 <br />
