E <br />E <br />Removing Blood and Body fluid Spills from Carpeting: Small Spills <br />[Less than 2" in diameter] <br />Equipment: A. Protective equipment: may include, but not be limited to <br />1. Eye shield or goggles. <br />2. Gloves. <br />3. Semi -permeable cover gown. <br />B. Wet floor signs. <br />C. Wet / dry vac or extraction equipment. <br />Cleaning Products: A. ** Desigmated disinfectant spray cleaner. <br />B. Soap for hand washing. <br />** (In order to maintain the warranty on the carpet, contact Liberty for product that is <br />currently recommended). <br />Procedure: A. Wash hands using good hand washing techniques. <br />B. Gather protective equipment, [ eye shield or goggle, <br />semi -permeable gown and gloves]. <br />C. Gather cleaning supplies and equipment. <br />D. Post wet floor signs. <br />E. Put on protective equipment, [may include, and eye shield <br />or goggles, gloves, semi -permeable gown]. <br />F. Cover the area completely with ** designated disinfectant <br />spray. <br />G. Allow to stand for 60 seconds, [one minute]. <br />H. Clean up contaminated material with disposable paper <br />towels. <br />I. Place the disposable paper towels in plastic bag and dispose <br />of it in waste area. <br />J. Clean decontaminated area using hot water. <br />K. Remove moisture with a wet vac or extraction equipment. _ <br />L. When finished cleaning the area, empty wet vac or <br />extraction equipment. <br />M. Allow to air dry. <br />N. Remove protective equipment. <br />O. Wash hands. <br />P.
