BOMB SEARCH: <br />The Administrator/Nursing Supervisor will notify key personnel of the bomb threat. <br />A search will be conducted by key personnel and police officers. <br />1. The Administrator will provide flashlights, pass keys and any in-house equip- <br />ment that may be required. <br />2. No area should be overlooked. The search will include public areas, offices, <br />nursing units, x-ray dressing rooms, patient rooms, janitor closets, <br />3. The search will include items such as refrigerators, waste baskets, trash <br />cans, wardrobes, drawers, file cabinets, desks, inside flower pots, etc. <br />4. Search should be conducted in such a manner that it does not alarm patients <br />or visitors. <br />If suspicious/unusual object is found, DO NOr TOUCH IT. The police department <br />will call appropriate personnel for disposal. Notify Administrator/Nursing <br />Supervisor. Take appropriate precautionary steps, e.g. shut off oxygen, etc. <br />If no suspicious/unusual object is found, the search team will apprise the <br />Administrator/Nursing Supervisor. <br />If evacuation is indicated, the Evacuation Plan will be followed. The Adminis- <br />trator/designee has the authority to order an evaluation of all or part of the <br />facility. <br />
