HSC 118280(e)(1)-Tracking records indicated there were no rredical waste pickup <br /> between the following dates, which is over 7 days: <br /> September 23, 2021 to October 7, 2021 <br /> November 22, 2021 to December 2, 2021 <br /> December 9, 2021 to December 30, 2021 <br /> Ensure medical waste is picked up every 7 days. <br /> Question 2: The following is the information that local staff provided to me regarding these lags in <br /> service. I'm hoping that you can provide additional information and actions that you have taken to <br /> rectify the situation. The auditor reviewed all records from 2021-2022 and these-Here the only issues <br /> that were identified. My assumption is that COVID and staffing shortages had an impact on your <br /> operations. However, please provide additional clarification. <br /> 9/23/21- 10/7/21: Replacement driver arrived when the site was not open. <br /> 11/22/21- 12/2/21: Stericycle was scheduled to pick up on 11/25 but arrived on 11/22. This schedule <br /> change resulted in a violation of CA's 7 day rule. <br /> 12/9/21- 12/30/21: Stericycle driver was on vacation and a replacement driver was not available. <br /> We have a short time to respond to these violations.
