MEDICAL WASTE EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN
SRI has documented procedures for handling spills and accidental exposure of
SRI employees to medical waste. In the event of spill employees, wearing
PPE, are required to clean the affected area using a chlorinated disinfectant,
and properly dispose of all contaminated waste in a BFI biohazardous red bag
for subsequent removal and incineration by our contracted service. SRI's
procedures also provide instructions to our employees on the steps to be taken
if an employee is exposed to medical waste, or receives an accidental stick.
The employee must immediately shower and proceed to our medical provider
for incident documentation and any medical treatment. The facility will also
generate exposure and post exposure reports.
I hereby certify that to the best of my knowledge and belief that the statements made
herein are correct and true.
SIGNATU TITLE DATE C
