All individuals <br /> required to handle medical wastes ormaterials will beprovided with the appropriate <br /> orientation, onthe '^obtraining, equipment and protective garb. These policies and <br /> procedures will bereviewed annually. <br /> IDENTIFICATION: <br /> The following will beclassified somedical waste: <br /> w Isolation wastes; <br /> * Contaminated needles and other ahaqza; <br /> * <br /> Contaminated diolyzero, blood tubing, and transducer protectors; <br /> � <br /> Blood, blood specimens and blood product containers; and <br /> ° <br /> Any trash contaminated with blood or body fluids, including but not limited to gloves <br /> dressings, paper, and applicators. <br /> Effluent and drainage bags from peritoneal dialysis. <br /> PROCEDURE: <br /> MEDICATIONS: <br /> Medications must bodisposed ofinaccordance with various state laws See Disposal of <br />
