If in -and -out activity has been frequent:
a. Reset the alarm and close the door. KEEP IT CLOSED.
b. Monitor the temperature closely for at least two hours, verifying that it returns to
normal and the alarm does not sound again.
c. Label each space within the refrigeration unit consecutively, beginning with "1", then
"2" then "3" and so on until all spaces are numbered.
b. Assign each shelving unit within the refrigeration unit a letter (e.g. "A", "B", "C")
then assign each space on that shelving unit a number so that the spaces for the "A"
shelving unit are numbered as "Al", "A2" and so on. The `B" shelving unit will be
numbered "B 1 ", "132", etc., the "C" shelving unit will be numbered "C 1 ", "C2" and
so on.
For floor spaces, keep a supply of laminated labels or cards (see item 2 below)
outside the refrigeration unit for attaching to containers, rolling tables or wheeled cots
as they are placed inside the refrigeration unit. Number those labels/cards with the
Version 2.1 Page 43 of 70 Revised: 07/10/2015
Document Owner: Operations Support C 2015 SCI Funeral & Cemetery Purchasing Cooperative, Inc.
