Field Operations Policy and Procedures <br /> Personal Protective Equipment <br /> Equipment used by authorized personnel when handling decedents. Such equipment includes (but <br /> is not limited to) heat-resistant leather work gloves and aprons, heat-reflective face shields, <br /> particulate masks and ear plugs. <br /> Preparation Area <br /> Any area, room or location in the facility where decedents are prepared, handled, staged or stored <br /> for final disposition. This includes but is not limited to areas where the following activities are <br /> regularly performed: <br /> • Embalming <br /> • Cosmetizing <br /> • Casketing <br /> • Refrigeration <br /> • Dressing <br /> Prosthesis <br /> An artificial object attached to or positioned inside a decent.
