DELTA HEALTH CARE <br /> OSHA BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS COMPLIANCE PROCEDURES <br /> Training will include but is not exclusive of: <br /> 1) Delta Health Care procedures. <br /> 2) Bloodborne diseases and their transmission. <br /> 3) Question and answer period. <br /> RECORDKEEPING: <br /> Medical records of employees with occupational exposure will be maintained for the duration <br /> of their employment plus thirty (30) years. <br /> These records must be confidential and must include: <br /> 1) Name and social security number. <br /> 2) Hepatitis B vaccination status (including dates). <br /> 3) Results of any examinations, medical testing. <br /> 4) Follow-up procedures. <br /> 5) Copy of healthcare professional's written opinion. <br /> 6) Copy of information provided to healthcare professional. <br /> Training records must be maintained for three years and must include: <br /> 1) Dates of training. <br /> 2) Contents or summary of training. <br /> 3) Trainer's name and qualifications. <br /> 4) Names and job titles of attendees. <br /> Medical records will be available to the employee, anyone with written consent of employee, <br /> OSHA and NIOSH. they do not have to be available to employer. <br /> DATES: <br /> The effective date is 90 days after publication in the Federal Register or March 6 1992. The <br /> standards were published December 6, 1991. The Exposure Control Plan must be completed <br /> within 60 days of the effective date or May 6 1992. Information and Training requirements <br /> take effect 90 days following the effective date or, June6 1992.
