ATTAC NT: FOR MEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> EDISON HEALTH CENTER <br /> Small Generator <br /> 1. EDISON HEALTH CENTER, located on the grounds of Edison High School, 1425 S. <br /> Center Street, Stockton, California, 95206, is a small generator of medical waste, sharps <br /> only. <br /> 2. The estimated monthly amount of waste is 1/3 quart - (1 quart every 3 months.) <br /> 3. All sharps re immediately put into a puncture proof sharps container after use. Once that <br /> container is full, it is closed and sealed with heat-sensitive tape. The container is placed <br /> in the autoclave on site, temperature to reach 2500 for 30 minutes. The maximum <br /> capacity shall be no larger that 8" x 8" x 12". Should the equipment fail, the container <br /> will be placed on the counter until the equipment is repaired. <br /> 4. No registered waste hauler is employed by the Agency. <br /> 5. Delta Health Care does not have a limited Haulery Exemption. <br /> 6. Records will be maintained and made available for three (3) years. Records will include <br /> type of load sterilized, temperature and length of time autoclaved. <br /> 7. Once a month a kilit ampule (Bacillus Sterotherophillis) will be placed in the middle of <br /> a load, and sent to the Public Health Department for evaluation. Records will be kept for <br /> three (3) years. <br /> 8. See attached: 1) Medical Waste Emergency Action Plan.
