One time connection fees as required by City
policy will be paid. Monthly service charges are
periodically adopted by the City Council to
recover the cost to treat liquid waste.
Mr . Cox has indicated that waste water lines are
in place and can accommodate projected flows. The
treatment plant has adequate capacity and will
monitor water quality from all sources . The
proposed hospital and medical office buildings
will not cause a significant impact to the City ' s
water and sewer systems.
8. Stormwater
The site is not located within the identified 100
year flood prone area as shown on the City general
plan (Figure 7) . Kaiser will submit a master
drainage plan consistent with City requirements .
Mr . Cox has indicated that existing stormwater
facilities are adequate to handle winter flows.
Kaiser will be required to design and construct
the internal storm drainage system with connec-
tion(s) to the planned Master Stormewater Drainage
System. Typically, specifications will incor-
porate provisions to mitigate short term impacts
during construction. Final plans and specifica-
tions will conform to the City' s design require-
ments.
9. Gas and Electricity
Pacific Gas and Electric will serve the hospital.
Extension of gas and electric lines will be the
responsibility of Kaiser hospital. Kaiser intends
to incorporate all feasible energy saving devices
encouraged and required by regulatory agencies
within their site and construction plans.
10. Telephone
Telephone service will be provided by the Pacific
Bell Company.
Extension of telephone lines to the project will
occur in conjunction with the installation of
other private utility facilities and public
improvements.
17
