11 <br />Document Number: 909 R 5003 <br />Rev: 12 Date: 1/22/13 <br />EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br />Each department is responsible for the development and implementation of <br />emergency equipment shut down procedures. The procedures are intended to allow <br />for the rapid shut down of major manufacturing equipment or processes without undue <br />endangerment to employees and/or contractors during an evacuation. <br />Once the emergency is over and approval is given for employees and/or contractors to <br />reenter the facility, procedures are needed to bring any equipment and/or process <br />back on line. Start up procedures will also be developed. Each department will be <br />responsible for emergency shutdown/startup training. <br />I�If'.7ji►f►�Cl� <br />New employees will receive this training as part of their initial new employee training. <br />Annual refresher training will be provided to all employees. <br />Training at a minimum will consist of the following: <br />know where the assembly areas are located <br />know evacuation procedures <br />Additional training will be given to employees designated as emergency shut <br />down/start up personnel. Training should consist of identifying what procedures are to <br />be taken for the shut down/start up of equipment/process and responsibility of each <br />team member. Annual refresher training will be given to these employees. <br />EVACUATION DRILLS <br />The facility will conduct partial or plant wide evacuation drill(s) on an annual basis. <br />Where appropriate, the drill(s) will allow each department to practice emergency shut <br />down/start up procedures.
