Document Number: 909 R 5003 <br />GROUP <br />Procedure Rev: 12 Date: 1/22/13 <br />EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br />Incident Command System <br />In the case of certain emergencies, Pilkington will utilize the Incident Command <br />System. Pilkington will participate in any joint incident command system with <br />responding agencies, to facilitate a timely response to the emergency. <br />Roles of the Pilkington Incident Command Team are as follows: <br />• Plant Manager (incident commander) shall coordinate and make <br />available all necessary resources for an effective response and shall <br />maintain communications with corporate. <br />• Area Managers shall provide technical assistance and coordinate the <br />use of materials/equipment necessary for response as well as trained <br />personnel to assist in incident control. <br />• EHS / BATCH / FURNACE AND TECHNICAL Manager shall be <br />responsible for securing area, accountability of employees, and crowd <br />control. EHS / BATCH / FURNACE AND TECHNICAL Manager shall <br />determine if the incident poses a threat to the safety and health of <br />employees. In addition, shall assess the situation to determine if <br />hazardous materials are present and whether they pose a threat to <br />responders, the surrounding community or the environment. Will <br />provide technical information including Material Safety Data Sheets. <br />EHS / BATCH / FURNACE AND TECHNICAL Manager shall act as <br />incident commander. <br />• Human Resources Manager shall be responsible for communications <br />with media. <br />• If the emergency occurs during non -business hours, the incident <br />commander shall be the highest ranking manager/supervisor on-site. <br />Once appropriate personnel arrive on-site, the incident commander <br />may change. <br />H:\profile\My Documents\500 E. louise ave (CIA LOF)\9-25-13\909R5003 Emergency Response Procedures.doc <br />Page 15 of 67 <br />Paper Copies are Not Controlled unless stamped in RED "Controlled Document".
