Document Number: 909 R 5003
Rev: 12 Date: 1/22/13
►,
Pilkington has established a workplace violence policy (Document Number 001 P0022)
that includes the following practices:
Pilkington does not tolerate violence, threats of violence, or physical intimidation
by or to its employees in the workplace. Behavior of this nature will result in
appropriate disciplinary action up to and including termination.
• Firearms, or any sort of weapon designed to inflict bodily harm to another person,
are prohibited on Company premises. Possession of an item within this category
will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
• Any employee who is a victim of violence, verbal or physical threats, or
intimidation, or know of such behavior, must contact their manager or Human
Resources representative immediately. Counseling is available through the
Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
If a situation should arise where an individual has become an immediate threat to
their fellow employees, initiate the Integrated Contingency Plan procedures for
responding to an incident. Employees can also call the Lathrop Police Department
immediately at 911, or contact the Security Officer and he/she will call the police.
Immediate protection of employees should be the first priority during these incidents.
The Major Incident Coordination Team should immediately consult with Human
Resources personnel that have had training for response to Workplace Violence
issues.
H:\profile\My Documents\500 E.
