This site was used from -approximately 1935 to 1955 and
received grass clippings, tree limbs, leaves, and construction debris.
Three studies have been performed on the site:
0
"Preliminary Geotechnical Engineering Investigation, Proposed Residential
Development,"by The Foundation Engineers, dated November 3.0, 1982.
0 *Soils Investigation, Residential Development," by Kleinfelder dated March
3, 1981
0 "Gas Investigation, Residential," by Mandeville & Associates, -dated March
1988.
These three reports are included in Appendix A.
Compiling the information presented in these three reports indicates the following:
0 The highest concentration of debris and organic matter appears to be located
approximately 150 feet south of the Mokolumne River, in the center of the
site.
0 Observed debris included concrete, asphalt, some wood, glass, and metal
0 Over parts of the site, debris appears to be mixed with a large proportion(up
to 90%) of silty fine to medium sand.
0 ionizable compounds (such as methane) are present at concentrations of 150
to 350 ppmv along the west side of the landfill- Detectable concentrations of
137-88-1663 2
