Lodi City Landfill November 16,2011
• North of Awani Drive,Lodi,California Project No. 104690061
• Depending on metal analytical results, some samples may be additionally analyzed using the
waste extraction test (WET) method or by the toxicity characteristic leaching procedure
(TCLP)by EPA test method(s)6010/7471 A.
• Due to the past agricultural uses in the area, select samples will be additionally analyzed for or-
ganochlorine pesticides by EPA test method 8082A.
• PCBs by EPA test method 8082.
• Dioxins and furans by EPA test method 8290M.
The analytical results will characterize the wastes, assist with developing a remedial action plan,
if required, and depending on the planned remedial action, assist with evaluating off site disposal
options. Two background samples will be analyzed for Title 22 metals (total metal concentra-
tions)by EPA test methods 6010/7471A. The following table summarizes the proposed analytical
testing program at this time based on drilling and sampling ten LFG wells and an assumed ten
exploratory trenches.As previously indicated, it is likely the number of samples will be modified
during the actual investigation.
Table 2—Proposed Analytical Testing Program
Constituents of Potential Concern EPA Test Method Estimated Number of
Samples
VOCs 8260B 20
Semi Volatile Organic Compounds SVOCs 8270C 20
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons TPH extended range) 8015B 40
Title 22 metals TLC 601013/7471A* 30
Total lead TTLC 6010B 20
Polychlorinated Biphenyls CBs 8082 20
Organochlorine Pesticides 8081A 20
Dioxins/Furans see note below 8290M 1
Title 22 metals (STLC/TCLP),as required TBD TBD
Notes:
TTLC=Total Threshold Limit Concentration
STLC=Solid Threshold Limit Concentration
TBD=To be determined.The number of samples and actual metals to be analyzed for STLC and TCLP will be based on the TTLC
concentration of a particular metal.Samples will be additionally analyzed if the metal concentration is equal to or exceeds 10 times
the established STLC and is less than the established TTLC for that metal and/or if the TTLC concentration is equal to or 20 times the
TCLP for that metal.
TBD=to be determined
Dioxins/Furan analysis only to be conducted if wastes were burned and on the sample containing the highest
total lead concentration
M
104690061 xsnW.doo 35 //Inya /►oore
