Ms Judy McCampbell - 2 - 20 February 2007 <br /> Title 27 California Code of Regulations, Division 2 (Title 27) Section 20080(g) requires that: <br /> "Persons responsible for discharges at Units which were closed, abandoned, or inactive on or <br /> before November 27, 1984 may be required to develop and implement a detection monitoring <br /> program in accordance with Article 1, Subchapter 3, Chapter 3, Subdivision 1 of this division. <br /> If water quality impairment is found, such persons may be required to develop and implement <br /> a corrective action program under that article." <br /> Therefore, pursuant to Title 27 Section 20080(8) the Tandy Corporation shall- <br /> 1. <br /> hall:1. Submit by 15 May 2007, a work plan with time schedule to investigate the horizontal <br /> and vertical extent of groundwater impacts. This investigation will require additional <br /> groundwater monitoring at one time sampling points and/or additional monitoring wells. <br /> If the groundwater pollution goes offsite the investigation must also go offsite. The work <br /> plan shall have a schedule of milestone to complete this investigation before the <br /> submittal of the Site Groundwater Investigation Report. <br /> 2. Submit by 30 November 2007 a Site Groundwater Investigation Report. This Report <br /> shall have maps and cross sections showing the extent of any groundwater pollution, <br /> piper or stiff diagrams showing the differences in groundwater chemistry between <br /> sampling points, a comparison of background (upgradient) water quality to impacted <br /> sampling locations, and a discussion of the results of the investigation. Based on this <br /> investigation if it is determined that groundwater is degraded a schedule to submit and <br /> Engineering Feasibility Study for corrective action shall be included in this report. This <br /> submittal shall be in compliance with Title 27 Sections 20420, 20425 and 20430 <br /> 3. Submit by 15 May 2007, a plan with time schedule to monitor groundwater and surface <br /> water quality on a quarterly bases for general minerals and metals. This schedule shall <br /> include dates for submitting the data with an evaluation of that data to Water Quality <br /> Board staff. <br /> Board staff looks forward to working with you to investigate the extent of groundwater impacts <br /> at your facility.
