- v4A
 1_
Waste agement Doard
September 30, 1981
Page,2
4. The west end of the site, north of the north fork of
South Little John's Creek, is not used, and is designated
as a suitable borrow area if for any reason additional
cover material is required to the east of that part of the
site.
5. At any time that it is no longer feasible to transport cover
material from said west end borrow area to the east face of
the landfill, said east face can be covered and temporarily
discontinued until sufficient imported borrow from off-site
is again available and accumulated. In such event, it will
be feasible to open and operate a new fa ce in the west end.
Such operation in the west end could continue for up to two
years, minimum, if necessary or desirable.
Additional options probably also will be available in the near
future.
1. A more proximate unused on-site borrow area is available
south of said creek. Economic access to it is dependent
upon the development of an acceptable "temporary" crossing.
This would assure cover for the continued operation of the
east face option, north of said creek and over the
previously placed landfill. City will endeavor to install
such temporary crossing in order to continue to operate the
east face.
2. Should it not be possible to soon construct such crossing,
an access road to the southerly portion of the City's site
can be developed from Austin Road without crossing a
stream. It would then be possible to utilize that 45 acres
as landfill.
If more detail is required, please contact Joseph Walker at
(209) 944-8420.
o ER E -i.
Ho SON
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
N
