El Dorado Street <br />Stockton, CA 95202-1997 <br />ni s D January 31, 1994 <br />RE: RESPONSE TO SUBTITLE D REGULATION COMPLIANCE - AUSTIN ROAD <br />AND FRENCH CAMP LANDFILLS <br />This letter is in response to your December 7, 1993 letter describing how you will comply with <br />the Subtitle D requirements. <br />Austin Road Landfill <br />(Item 2.) Airport Location Restriction: <br />Further study or demonstration of whether birds are effecting the Stockton Airport is <br />required. A letter from the Stockton Municipal Airport or the FAA stating birds are not <br />a problem may be submitted as documentation. Further review of findings is needed. <br />Austin Road and French Camp Landfills <br />(Item 3.) Hazardous Waste Load Checking Program: <br />Please document that employees operating the landfill have been trained on hazardous <br />waste load checking and identification of hazardous waste. Because the senior technician <br />is not on-site at all times, other facility personnel must be trained to recognize regulated <br />hazardous wastes and PCB wastes. <br />(Item 4.) Routine Methane Gas Monitoring Program: <br />A complete specific plan addressing the requirements in Subtitle D must be submitted by <br />February 15th.
