Dumping will take place at the bottom of the working face and refuse <br />will be pushed up the lift and compacted using dozer and compactors. <br />Stockpiling of cover material will take place on the previously <br />constructed cell. The soil will be pushed down upon working face and <br />will provide 6 inches of cover at the end of the operating day. The <br />refuse may be covered with soil directly from the scraper. <br />G. The City of Stockton's Source Reduction and Recycling Element <br />discusses recycling methods that may be utilized at this landfill. <br />Used oil and used batteries shall be handled in a manner approved by the <br />LEA & CIWMB. <br />H. If hazardous or other unacceptable wastes are detected, the operator's <br />site personnel will have the hauler remove the wastes. If the hauler has <br />left the site, the operator will immediately cordon off the area. The <br />operator will then immediately notify the City's Deputy Director of Public <br />Works, Stephen Chen at (209) 944-8827, or Solid Waste Manager, <br />Michael Miller at (209) 944-8826 as to who will be responsible for <br />assessment, clean-up, transport, and disposal of the prohibited wastes. <br />The hazardous wastes will be disposed of by an approved hazardous <br />waste hauler. The incident and response will be recorded in the log of <br />special occurrences. <br />The waste load checking program does consist of inspection of random <br />incoming loads; regular visual inspection of wastes deposited at the <br />I `dc <br />traMirus 11r-1%1dWX <br />proper hazardous waste handling procedures; reporting incidents of <br />entry way indicating that no hazardous wastes are accepted; a list ol-' <br />unacceptable wastes. Additional measures may be required upon the <br />request of the LEA or the CIWMB. <br />1. Anticipated changes in design and operation in the next 5 years are to <br />initiate a recycling program and utilizing the 45 acres south of Little John <br />Creek for landfilling. Expansion of the landfill property is the planning <br />stage. <br />J. Hours of Operation <br />6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday - Friday and 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., <br />Saturdays during the months of Aprill and May. <br />The estimated remaining site life is 5 years.
