APPENDIX nAn
June 6, 1990
CITY OF STOCKTION PROPOS D EBPANBION OF THE AOBTIN ROAD FILL
daily permitted tonnage is increased it is anticipated that
this* number will increase to 110 trucks per day for refuse
hauled to the Class III site. The trucks hauling waste during
the morning peak hour is estimated to be 20 vehicles. If the
City constructs a facility to handle sewage sludge, it is
anticipated that this number will increase from 110 trucks per
day to 120 trucks per day with 22 vehicles during the morning
peak hour.
The project site is served by Austin Road, a San Joaquin
County roadway. Access to the site is available via a paved
roadway. The minimal vehicular traffic associated with the
project during both the construction and operational phases
can be handled by Austin Road without any adverse impacts.
toakto et o o a _ A
portion of the LANDFILL is
located within 10,000 feet of the end of the Airport runway. -
Any adverse impacts that this might have on the operation of
the Airport will be addressed in the EIR for the project.
S-0190 - The anticipated noise level at the property line
during the construction of the expanded LANDFILL is
anticipated to be 70 dBA. During the operation of the
landfill the noise level at the property line is anticipated
to be 60 dBA or less.
There are no inhabited
facilities in the immediate vicinity of
the LANDFILL. With the exception of the construction period,
the noise level anticipated from the project will not exceed
the level presently generated by the current operation
surrounding agriculture land.
Air Quality - The construction of the expanded LANDFILL could
create some dust during the construction period. The dust
will be controlled by water trucks. The amount of dust
created will not be any greater than that caused by farming
operations in the area.
The existing LANDFILL creates methane gas which is collected
and burned in a generator to create electricity which is sold
to P. G. & E. The expanded LANDFILL will create additional
quantities of methane gas. This additional g:-'s will either be
burned to create electricity, collected and flared to the
atmosphere, etc. The impacts of the methane gas generation
will be addressed in. the project EIR.
A 3 Appendix "All
