San Joaquin County <br /> staff has previously indicated the County's interests with respect to leachate migration from the <br /> existing landfill and the potential for increased migration due to the proposed expansion project. <br /> The current Report of Disposal Information, Waste Discharge Requirements and proposed <br /> conditions for the Solid Waste Facility Permit appear to address the County's concerns in this <br /> matter. <br /> San Joaquin County does not object to the proposed landfill expansion. However,we request <br /> that your agency appropriately condition any future modification to permits or concurrences to <br /> assure adequate protection of our groundwater resources. Further, we request that your Board <br /> notify San Joaquin County concerning any proposed changes to the Operating Permit or%Vaste <br /> Discharge Requirements for the Austin Road Sanitary Landfill. <br /> Ve ruly yours, <br /> GEORGE L.
