Box 388 <br /> Stockton, CA 95202-0388 <br /> Subject: Transmittal of State Inspection Report—Austin Road/Forward - Facility File No. <br /> 39-AA-0001 <br /> Dear Ms. Heran, <br /> California Integrated Waste Management Board (Board) staff conducted a State <br /> inspection of the Austin Road/Forward landfill on February 28, 2001. This was <br /> completed pursuant to Division 30, Public Resources Code (PRC), Sections 43219(a) and <br /> 43220. A copy of the State inspection report is enclosed. A copy of this correspondence <br /> has also been forwarded to the facility operator. <br /> The facility was evaluated for compliance with applicable sections of Division 30 of the <br /> PRC; Title 27 California Code of Regulations (CCR), Chapter 3 - Criteria for All Waste <br /> Management Units, Facilities, and Disposal Sites, and Chapter 4 - Documentation and <br /> Reporting For Regulatory Tiers, Permits, WDR's, and Plans. <br /> No violations or areas of concern of the PRC or Title 27 of the CCR were noted, <br /> however, it was observed that on the northern slope of the landfill there was some minor <br /> leachate seepage and also some minor ponding was observed on the top deck of landfill. <br /> As the LEA,please continue to work with the operator to correct these observations. <br /> Your staff, along with the operator, is to be commended for their work in continuing to <br /> keep this facility in compliance. <br /> If you have any questions regarding the inspection,please contact Keith Kennedy at <br /> (916)341-6341 or myself at(916) 341-6336. <br /> California Environmental Protection Agency <br /> Printed on Recycled Paper <br /> �c, <br />
