The facility accepts class II waste predominately from the Stockton area. The <br /> facility was reactivated on January 8,2001 after it was purchased by Forward Inc./Allied Waste North America from the City of Stockton <br /> Public Works Department. Because of groundwater contamination originating from the site,the facility is currently accepting the <br /> maximum daily tonnage allowed in order to fill the remaining capacity and put an intermediate cap on the site. The land surrounding the <br /> facility is rangeland,agricultural and residential. Native soil is used as daily cover. Forward Inc./Allied Waste North America eventually <br /> plans to merge the facility with the adjacent Forward Inc. landfill. <br /> Previous Inspection Results: <br /> The previous State inspection of this facility was conducted on August 29,2000. At that time the State was also acting as the Enforcement <br /> Agency for the City of Stockton. No violations or areas of concern were noted as part of Title 27,California Code of Regulations, <br /> Division 2,Subdivision 1,CIWMB Regulations for Treatment, Storage,Processing or Disposal of Solid Waste. <br /> Section Supervisor Integrated Waste Management Specialist <br />
