GAS CONTROL AND MONITORING <br /> 14 CCR 17705 Discussions with personnel from the CIWMB, the LEA, and the City Appendix I, FDSR <br /> 14 CCR 18222(m) have indicated that gas migration has not been a problem at the Sec. 1.7, Pages 1- <br /> landfill. Combustible Gas Indicator readings taken by personnel from 28 to 1-29 <br /> the CIWMB have shown that there have been no compliance <br /> problems at the boundary for the last few years. Gas monitoring Appendix Q <br /> reports are in Appendix Q. <br /> Pacific Energy, a subcontractor to the City, is responsible for FDSR Sec. 3.5, <br /> collection of landfill gas at the existing landfill. They collect and burn Pages 3-5 to 3-6 <br /> the gas to produce up to 760 kilowatts per hour of electrical power Appendix B, <br /> that is sold to PG& E. This type of contract will continue to be used CEP Dwg. P1 <br /> at the expanded landfill. In addition, gas extraction wells with <br /> overlapping radii of influence will be used in conjunction with <br /> collection laterals and transmission mains to convey the gas to a <br /> blower/flare facility. An amendment will be filed at the time of final <br /> design of each phase; this amendment will describe specific details <br /> of the gas control and monitoring system. <br /> R.W.
