Operator will not <br />salvage drugs, cosmetics, foods, beverages, hazardous <br />chemicals, poisons, medical wastes, syringes, needles, <br />pesticides and other materials capable of impairing public <br />health, unless approved by the LEA. <br />V.E.S. Volume Reduction and <br />Energy Recovery <br />14 CCR 17688 <br />14 CCR 17689 <br />No volume reduction or energy recovery operations are <br />proposed. <br />V.F. HEALTH AND SAFETY <br />V.F.1. Sanitary Facilities <br />14 CCR 17666 <br />Four portable toilets equipped with hand-washing units are <br />currently used on site. Capacity is sufficient for ten people for <br />a normal five-day week. Portable toilets are located at the <br />scale house, near the active fill area, and at other common <br />work areas. <br />V.F.1. Potable Water Supply <br />14 CCR 17667 <br />Three water bottled coolers are currently used on-site. These <br />units are regularly serviced by the vendor. No on-site wells <br />are used for potable water. <br />V.F.3. Communications <br />14 CCR 17668 <br />During working hours, all employees and supervisors carry <br />Motorola MTX 8000 radios connected to a repeater. These <br />radios have a 60-mile range. In addition, all supervisors carry <br />cellular phones. Operators are to report any emergency <br />immediately. There is a site supervisor on the property at all <br />times. <br />V.F.4. Lighting <br />14 CCR 17669 <br />During working hours which take place prior to daylight, a <br />portable system of Maxi Lites is employed. The system is a <br />5,000-watt lighting system capable of lighting an area the <br />equivalent size of a football field. The lighting trailer is brought <br />out to the site area that is currently being worked on and used <br />until there is sufficient natural lighting available. <br />
