Permitting and Enforcement Committ • Agenda Item- V <br /> January 15, 1998 <br /> LEA: Dr. William Walker,M.D. <br /> Contra Costa County Health Services Department <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> Proposed Proiect <br /> The proposed permit is to allow for the following: <br /> 0 Change the waste stream received at the site to only wood and green wastes, construction <br /> and demolition debris, and other inert wastes. Municipal solid waste is no longer <br /> accepted at the site; and <br /> 0 Change the operating days and hours from 7 a.m.—5 p.m. seven days a week to <br /> 8 a.m.—4 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and <br /> 0 Open the site to the public only. Commercial haulers are no longer allowed; and <br /> 0 Reduce the acreage from 503.8 to 109. The site will consist of the East and South parcel. <br /> The proposed permit will not include the north parcel,permanent transfer station, and <br /> borrow area. <br /> II. PREVIOUS COMMITTEE) ACTION <br /> N/A <br /> III. OPTIONS FOR THE BOARD OR COMMITTEE <br /> Requirements for Concurrence with the Solid Waste Facilities Permit Pursuant to Public <br /> Resources Code, Section 44009,the Board has 60 calendar days to concur in or object to the <br /> issuance of a Solid Waste Facility Permit. Since the proposed permit for this facility was <br /> received on December 23, 1997,the last day the Board may act is February 21, 1998. <br /> Committee Members may decide to: <br /> 1. Recommend that the Board concur in the issuance of the proposed permit; <br /> 2. Recommend that the Board object to the issuance of the proposed permit; or <br /> 3. Make no recommendation on the proposed permit. <br /> IV. STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommend that the Board adopt Permit Decision No. 98-19 concurring in the issuance of <br /> Solid Waste Facility Permit No. 07-AA-0002. <br /> V.
