Wood Bros. backfilled and compacted the soil gas trench on the north and the lysimeter trench in the sump area. Wood bros. excavated the anchor trench down the eastern slope in the southeast corner utilizing the backhoe. Wood Bros. continued to weld pipe up the eastern slope for the soil gas risers. Wood Bros had laborers hand raking the southern slope. D&E: D&E unloaded 3 loads of New GCL (Bentofix NWL) totaling approximately 111,672.54ft2. D&E continued installation of GCL rolls with a minimum of 35lbs peel and 60mil double textured liner. D&E continued to deploy on the northern slope and started on the floor of Module 1. D&E installed a total of 41 panels of GCL totaling approximately 48,624ft2 and 18 panels of geomembrane totaling approximately 47,069ft2 all panels were overlapped and seamed per specification's. D&E performed airtests on all welded seams with passing results. D&E placed sandbags as ballast on the liner edges prior to leaving the site. Industrial fence continued installation of the fence wire and top angle posts with barbed wire. Vector Engineering, Inc. CQA observed processing, compaction and tested compaction of the foundation layer and subgrade materials placed. CQA performed several density tests with all tests meeting the required specifications. CQA observed unloading and logged GCL rolls delivered to the site. CQA observed and logged subgrade acceptance, panel deployment, seaming and airtests performed on the liner materials. CQA marked destructive samples for testing. Vector discussed with Wood bros.
