Wood Bros. repair some damage to the subgrade at the 4" soil <br />gas collection pipes and the toe of the south slope utilizing the D5CXL to smooth out the area, the water <br />truck to moisture condition and the smooth drum to roller to compact. Wood Bros continued to weld the 4" <br />perforated pipe for the LCRS system in the 5th V ditch off the northern toe. Wood Bros placed operations <br />material to extend the access ramp out further on to the cell. <br />Tri State started forming the sump and truck pad for the laechate containment area. <br />D&E continued installation of Bentofix NWL 35 GCL rolls and 60mil double textured liner. D&E deployed <br />on the eastern slope to the sump for construction of the secondary sump in Module 1. D&E installed a total <br />of 30 panels of GCL totaling approximately 47,565ft2 and 20 panels of geomembrane totaling approximately <br />45,2902 all panels were overlapped and seamed per specifications. D&E performed repairs to the liner. <br />D&E placed geotextile filter fabric on eastern end of the access ramp in the middle of Module 1 so Wood <br />Bros could extend the ramp. D&E placed sandbags as ballast on the liner edges prior to leaving the site. . <br />Vector Engineering, Inc. CQA observed placement and pulled a sample of the LCRS drainage aggregate <br />imported today. CQA observed and logged subgrade acceptance, panel deployment, seaming and repairs <br />performed on the liner materials. CQA marked and pulled 2 destructive samples for conformance testing <br />with both meeting the project requirements. CQA ran a sieve analysis on the drainage aggregate. <br />Vector discussed with Wood Bros. the pipes on the eastern slope need some work at the anchor trench prior to liner installation.
