). H. KLEINFELDER & ASSOCIATES
0
File No. S-1008-35
May 17, 1985
Page 2
PURPOSES AND SCOPE OF INVES71GA71ON
The scope of our investigation was outlined in our. meeting with the R.W.Q.C.B.
(Regional Water Quality Control Burd) on January 9, 19 85 , and subsequent discussions and
site visits. Our scope of work was described in our proposal dated March 6, 1985, and
was performed in accordance with your P.O. #41580, dated March 19, 1985. A progress
report of our work was submitted March 29, 1985.
Our scope of work included the following items:
1. Drilling six test borings to evaluate the native
soil conditions and potential for leachate
contamination of the underlying groundwater table.
2. Determination of adjacent wells, springs, and standing
water that could be effected by future development of the
site. These existing wells were also used to establish
groundwater depth and gradient. Where possible, samples of
groundwater were obtained from existing wells to evaluate
groundwater quality.
