ORGANIZATION OF REPORT <br /> The JTD is organized as indicated below. <br /> • Chapter 2 is a facility overview including general site description, existing permits, <br /> CEQA process and site plan. <br /> • Chapter 3, Waste Classification and Management, presents waste types and quantities. <br /> • Chapter 4, Waste Management Unit Characteristics, Siting, and Design Standards, <br /> includes airport safety, volumetric capacity, and site life estimates. <br /> • Chapter 5, Physical Setting, is a discussion of physical characteristics of the site such as <br /> geology and climate. <br /> • Chapter 6, Facilities Construction and Design, gives a description of the design of the <br /> landfill, construction and closure sequencing, and leachate and gas management. <br /> • Chapter 7, Landfill Operations, includes all operations at the facility, cover sources, <br /> handling of wastes, and environmental controls. <br /> • Chapter 8, Preliminary Closure/Postclosure Maintenance Plan, describes final grading, <br /> drainage, schedule of closure, costs for closure and postclosure maintenance and the <br /> closure maintenance fund. <br /> • Chapter 9 contains a list of references. <br /> 1.4.
