BIOTICS <br /> (1) POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT PRESENCE OF SQUIRRELS RATS AND <br /> FLIES <br /> Due to the nature of sold waste handling activities, squirrels, rats, and flies are <br /> attracted to the acisting facility. This activity is currently conducted in an open <br /> area without benefit of a controlled environment. The proposed expansion <br /> Project will brim the solid waste handling operation into an enclosed building for <br /> which vector controls can be established. <br /> Findings: <br /> Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project <br /> which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect as <br /> identified in the Final EIR. <br /> Statement of Fact: <br /> The impact will be reduced by the : <br /> Confine the waste handling operation to the Transfer Building. All doors, <br /> windows,and inscreened openings should remain closed unless actually in use. <br /> Provide pest control services around the perimeter of the building as necessary. <br /> H. UGHT AND GLARE <br /> (1) POTENnALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT: LIGHT AND GLARE ON NEARBY <br /> RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES <br /> Although the transfer facility is not wpxled to operate during nighttime hours, <br /> I is likely to utilize lighting for security Purposes. In addition, area fighting may <br /> be utilized in the outdoor recycling area and transfer trailer parking area. <br /> Finding: <br /> Changes or alterations have been required in,or incorporated into, the project <br /> which avoid or substa ndally lessen the significant environmental effect as <br /> Identified in the Futal EIR.
