r
6.0 FEE STRUCTURE
SB-20 is designed to cover the full cost of recycling all covered electronic devices which
includes the following:
• Cathode Ray Tubes(CRT's)devices used in televisions
• CRT devices used in monitors
• Liquid Crystal Display(LCD)monitors
• Laptop computers containing LCD screens and
• Other video display devices as specified by the DTSC
This regulation does not allow jurisdictions to collect a fee from residents for recycling unless
the State Fees do not cover the full cost of collection and recycling.
Onsite Electronics Recycling is therefore proposing to provide the services described in section
3.0,managing all devices covered under this regulation (as well as any added in the fixture) at no
cost to the County. We believe the State reimbursement will cover the costs of this recycling
program.
If the County chooses to accept material which is not covered under SB-20 regulation, Onsite
Electronics Recycling can accept and manage most electronics devices. The costs charged to the
0 County for these materials will be $0.25/lb.
If additional services are requested, Onsite Electronics Recycling will evaluate the costs
associated with the services to determine whether a fee will be charged. Whenever possible,we
will perform additional services without adding costs to the County.
0
San Joaquin County Proposal Page 22 of 22
