V. <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The hazardous waste exclusion program described herein which includes an assigned load <br /> checker,vehicle logging,removal of hazardous waste by a licensed hazardous waste hauler and <br /> installation of a chemical storage locker on site has already been implemented. Site personnel <br /> are currently trained to identify and segregate prohibited waste for removal. Results of the <br /> program to date indicate very little hazardous waste is being brought to the site. This is probably <br /> due to signs posted at the site and public notices for site information (Exhibit 3)which indicate <br /> types of waste not accepted. Also,the implementation of the Hazardous Waste Exclusion <br /> Program has increased the awareness of users of the site to legal restrictions on prohibited waste, <br /> and has also discouraged attempts at illegal disposal by charging expensive disposal fees to the <br /> offenders. <br /> 14 <br />
