SECTION 5 <br /> (11/97) <br /> 5-1.11 DISADVANTAGE BUSINESS INFORMATION.--The County of <br /> San Joaquin, hereby notifies all Contractors and bidders that it will affirmatively ensure <br /> that in,any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business <br /> enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation <br /> and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin <br /> in consideration for an award. <br /> The County does not have any Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals <br /> or utilization requirements for locally funded construction projects. For informational <br /> purposes, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors has requested Contractors to <br /> provide DBE participation data on a voluntary basis. Upon completion of the Contract, <br /> the Contractor is requested to complete the County DBE Utilization Report Form that <br /> summarizes all DBE subcontractor participation.
