._,...c•,�:�aa _:•.�� :we••�i�• ve 0UC!_'eLCV 7�"_/0"D ilC L!16, I. :J U' L UC ':�N.:4 UUgk_)U1•_V <br />STATE OF CALIFORNTA <br />RESOLUTION PROVIDING.FOR ESTABLISHMENT <br />OF THE SOLTD WASTE CLOSURE ENTERPRISE FUND <br />WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 2448 mandates landfill operators to <br />establish by January 1, 1989, a trust fund or equivalent <br />acceptable financial mechanism be established to ensure adequate <br />resources for closure and postclosure maintenance activities for <br />landfills in California; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Joaquin as operator of the Harney <br />Lane Sanitary 1andfill and in accordance with its contractual <br />obligations with the operator of the Foothill Sanitary Landfill <br />must comply with the requirements of Assembly Bill 2448; and <br />WHEREAS, one of the financial mechanisms allowed by Assembly <br />Bill 2448 is the establishment of an Enterprise Fund in which to <br />accumulate funds for the purposes outlined by Assembly Bill 2448. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board of <br />Supervisors hereby creates the Solid waste Closure Enterprise <br />Fund in accordance with Government Code Section 25251; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESnLVFD that the County Department of Public <br />Works shall be responsible for the administration of said fund <br />and shall utilize such accounting and financial methods as <br />prescribed by the County Administrator and the County <br />Auditor -Controller; and <br />BE TT FURTHER RESOLVPD that the County Auditor -Controller <br />be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to maintain said fund <br />and to complete financial statements as deemed appropriate on an <br />annual basis; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Solid Waste Closure <br />Enterprise Fund shall become effective orl the date of adoption of <br />this resolution. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this _ _ by the <br />following vote of the Board of Supervisors, to wit: <br />AYES <br />vOFS: <br />ABSENT: <br />ATTEST!
