Potential Hazards: Recommended Action or Procedure to <br /> eliminate/miti ate Hazards <br /> Drilling Rig Cable Replacement Struck by/Against Heavy Equipment, Flying Debris ® Make eye contact with operators before approaching <br /> Protruding Objects equipment <br /> • Ensure drill rig is shutdown completely before <br /> attempting to replace cable <br /> • Use ladder or full body harness tied to the mast to <br /> access cable connectors. <br /> • Have spotter present when spooling cable <br /> • Barricade or enclose the drilling area <br /> • Restrict entry to the work area to authorized personnel <br /> during drilling activities <br /> • Wear hard hats,safety glasses with side shields,and <br /> steel-toe safet boots at all times <br /> Drilling Rig Cable Replacement Sharp Objects • Wear cut resistant work gloves when handling cable <br /> • Inspect work areas for sharp objects before driving into <br /> the area. <br /> • Maintain all hand and power tools in a safe condition <br /> • Keep guards in place during use <br />
