all other completion tools ready at the well waiting for the driller to finish the well. It is the
responsibility of the completion man to keep the waste cleaned up around the drill rig as soon as
a load is available.
The completion man needs to know to the exact foot of where each section of material is to stop
(gravel, bentonite, and soil). While installing the materials into the well the completion man
should constantly measure the materials he is putting in.
When the well is complete the area around the well should not have ANY waste lying on the
ground. The completion man and the helper can police the area by picking up all the smaller
pieces and placing it in a trash bag.
DE-MOBILIZATION
Equipment(1-19-08G.C.)af100 BEFORE LOADING RIG CHECK THE FOLLOWING
1. TRACKS ARE SUCKED IN
2. MAST IS DOWN SETTING IN CRADLE BEHIND ENGINE COMPARTMENT
3. SAFETY CHAINS ARE ATTATCHED TO BAR AND CLEVISES ON FOOT OF MACHINE
4. SAFETY CLAMP IS AROUND BAR AND AGIANST ROTARY
5. USE STICKS AND PEDALS TO MOVE RIG DO NOT ADJUST ANYTHING WITH SMALL
LEVERS ON DASH
6. ONLY USE LEFT JOYSTICK TO ROTATE CAB IN THE SIDE TO SIDE MOTION
7. DO NOT TOUCH RIGHT JOY STICK OR MOVE LEFT JOYSTICK FRONT TO BACK
8. ANY PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS CALL Johnny Waters 225-445-5572
9. SECONDARY GREG COOPER CELL 225-445-5795 OFFICE 419-424-4940
Equipment should be taken to the staging area. The equipment should be cleaned inside and out.
It is easier to see all the leaks and repairs needed when the equipment is clean.
Meet with the client, discuss with them your final paperwork and take a site tour.
ADDITIONAL CONCERNS for the DRILLER
Drill Cable
Always pay attention to the drill cable for damaged spots. If the cable begins to fray, then
replace it. Tilting the mast to the right will keep the cable from rubbing against the guide rollers.
When going down the well bore do not hit the bottom hard. Hitting the bottom hard will cause a
new cable to turn inside out. The auxiliary cable does not get much use but it needs to be
watched when lowering the mast. The cable will rest on top of the cable. REMEMBER
ALWAYS CARRY A SPARE CABLE.
