C <br />1 <br />n <br />ENV/RONMENT.4L <br />TECHNOLOG/ES <br />4.2 Acceptance Program 2s by -Case Contaminated Soil Requiring Regulatory <br />Approval <br />Types III and IV contaminated soils will be accepted at the landfill under this program. The <br />contaminated soil types include hazardous contaminated soils which has received a variance <br />from DOHS for the purposes of disposal, it is classified as a "designated waste" pursuant to <br />Subchapter 15, Section 2522; and designated waste without a listed designated level in WDR <br />89-148. Acceptance of such contaminated soils are subject to a case-by-case review by the <br />RWQCB and PHS. <br />Contaminated soils rejected by any of the regulatory agencies will not be accepted at the landfill. <br />However some contaminated soils may be conditional approved such as those requiring treatment <br />prior to disposal into any of the WMUs.
