b. The DESIGN ENGINEER or QA/QC CONSULTANT has failed to <br /> review and return first submission of a Submittal within agreed time. <br /> C. CONTRACTOR demonstrates that delay in progress of Work is <br /> directly attributable to the DESIGN ENGINEER' or QA/QC <br /> CONSULTANT's failure to return Submittal within agreed time. <br /> 2. No adjustment of Contract Times or Price will be allowed due to delays in <br /> progress of Work caused by rejection and subsequent resubmission of <br /> Submittals, including multiple resubmissions. <br /> 1.6 SHOP DRAWINGS <br /> A. General: <br /> 1. Shop drawings, as defined herein, consist of all drawings, diagrams, <br /> illustrations, schedules, and other data which are specifically prepared by or <br /> for CONTRACTOR to illustrate some portion of the Work; and all <br /> illustrations, brochures, standard schedules, performance charts, <br /> instructions, diagrams, and other information prepared by a manufacturer <br /> and submitted by CONTRACTOR to illustrate material or equipment for <br /> distinct portions of the Work. <br /> 2. Submittal of incomplete or unchecked shop drawings will not be acceptable. <br /> Shop drawing submittals which do not clearly show CONTRACTOR's <br /> review stamp or specific written indication of CONTRACTOR review will <br /> be returned to CONTRACTOR for resubmission. <br /> 1.7 SAMPLES AND TEST SPECIMENS <br /> A. Where required in the Specifications, and as determined necessary by the <br /> DESIGN ENGINEER or QA/QC CONSULTANT, submit test specimens or <br /> samples of materials, appliances, and fittings to be used or offered for use in <br /> connection with the Work. Include information as to their sources, prepay cartage <br /> charges, and submit such quantities and sizes for proper examination and tests to <br /> establish the quality or equality thereof, as applicable. <br /> B. Submit samples and test specimens in ample time to enable the DESIGN <br /> ENGINEER or QA/QC CONSULTANT to make tests or examinations necessary, <br /> without delay to the Work. <br /> C. Submit additional samples as required by the DESIGN ENGINEER or QA/QC <br /> CONSULTANT to ensure equality with the original approved sample and/or for <br /> determination of Specification compliance. <br /> D. Laboratory tests and examinations that OWNER elects to make in its own <br /> laboratory will be made at OWNER's cost except that, if a sample of any material <br /> or equipment proposed for use by CONTRACTOR fails to meet the <br /> Specifications, CONTRACTOR shall bear cost of testing subsequent samples. <br /> 1.8 QUALITY CONTROL SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Manufacturers' Certification of Proper Installation: Where manufacturer's <br /> certification is required in the Specifications, the manufacturer shall provide <br /> certification stating the following: <br /> 1.
