During project construction, all petroleum products shall be stored in such a <br /> way as to prevent contamination of all ground and surface waters. <br /> C. Dust Control: <br /> 1. Dust control shall conform to the provisions in Section DUST CONTROL, <br /> of the California Standard Specifications, July 1995, and shall be performed <br /> in accordance with Forward's San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution <br /> Control District permit requirements. <br /> 2. The CONTRACTOR shall control the dust resulting from construction of <br /> this project regardless of whether it is the result of his operations or caused <br /> by public traffic at the work site. <br /> 3. Full compensation for dust control, including controlling dust caused by <br /> public traffic, shall be considered incidental to the Project Work and <br /> considered as included in unit prices paid for the various Bid Items listed on <br /> the Bid Form and no separate payment will be made therefor. <br /> 4. Dust control shall consist of furnishing water supply, required equipment, <br /> additives, accessories and incidentals, and carrying out proper and efficient <br /> measures wherever and as often as necessary to reduce dust nuisance, and to <br /> prevent dust originating from construction operations during the completion <br /> of the Contract, as required by the OWNER. <br /> 5. Water shall be applied by means of pressure-type distributors or pipelines <br /> equipped with a spray system or hoses with nozzles that will ensure a <br /> uniform application of water. <br /> 6. All equipment used for the application of water shall be equipped with a <br /> positive means of shut-off. <br /> D. Monitoring Wells and Probes: <br /> 1. The CONTRACTOR shall at all times be responsible for maintaining access <br /> to, and providing for, the protection of all monitoring wells and probes <br /> shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> 2. Any damage to monitoring wells and probes caused by the CONTRACTOR <br /> shall be repaired at no additional cost to the OWNER. <br /> 3.4 MAINTAINING TRAFFIC <br /> A. General: Personal vehicles of the CONTRACTOR's employees shall not be <br /> parked on the traveled way at any time, including any section closed to public <br /> traffic. <br /> B. Construction equipment and vehicles shall not be operated or driven in those areas <br /> Drawings as <br /> delineated on the Construction "Off-Limits".g <br /> C. The CONTRACTOR shall submit a traffic control plan to the OWNER for the <br /> Work involved in roadway areas and landfill areas prior to commencement of <br /> FORWARD LANDFILL 01500 <br /> TEMPORARY FACILITIES <br /> 5 AND CONTROLS <br />
