PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 HDPE PIPE AND FITTINGS <br /> Sump and riser pipe (Detail 5/11) and leachate outlet pipe (Detail 3/11) piping and fittings shall <br /> consist of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), smooth walled (non-corrugated), solid and <br /> perforated pipe conforming to requirements of ASTM 3350. All pipe and fittings shall be SDR <br /> 11. Fittings shall be butt-fusion type meeting the requirements of ASTM D-3261 and rated to <br /> match the diameter of piping to which they will be fused. All nuts and bolts and anchor support <br /> shall be stainless steel. <br /> Perforated pipe shall be factory-fabricated as shown on the Drawings. Perforations shall be free <br /> of any burrs or debris inside or outside of the pipe. <br /> The Contractor shall submit two samples of each type of piping proposed for use. The submittal <br /> shall also include Manufacturer's catalog cut sheets, recommended methods of jointing, and a <br /> Certificate of Compliance for each class of pipe. The submittal shall be provided to the Engineer <br /> at least 15 working days prior to intended use. <br /> 2.2 STEEL-RIBBED POLYETHYLENE PIPE (SRP2) AND <br /> CORRUGATED STEEL PIPE (CSP) <br /> Steel-ribbed polyethylene pipe (SRP 2) and corrugated steel pipe (CSP) shall be furnished in <br /> conformance with the applicable requirements of Section 66-3 of the Standard Specifications. <br /> This pipe type shall have a Manning's coefficient of no more than 0.013. This pipe material is <br /> available from Pacific Corrugated Pipe Company or equivalent pipe manufacturer. <br /> All joints shall be watertight with fittings supplied as recommended by the Manufacturer. The <br /> Contactor shall submit Manufacturer's product data, cut sheets and Certificates of Compliance <br /> for all CSP pipe and fittings. The submittal shall also include the Manufacturer's <br /> recommendations and Certificates of Compliance for providing watertight joints in accordance <br /> with Section 61-1.02 (E) of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 2.2.1 Bedding Material for Steel-Ribbed Polyethylene Pipe <br /> Bedding material for steel-ribbed polyethylene pipe shall conform to the requirements of Section <br /> 19-3.025B of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 2.3 GABION MAT AND ROCK MATERIAL <br /> 2.3.1 Gabion Baskets <br /> Gabion baskets shall conform to ASTM A 641, galvanized steel wire. Minimum wire diameters <br /> shall be 3.03.0 mm (11-gauge) for mesh wire; 3.8 mm (9-gauge) for selvedge or perimeter wire. <br /> Zinc galvanized coating shall be a minimum of 270 g/m2 (0.80 oz/ft). The mesh pattern shall be <br /> hexagonal in shape and uniform in size not exceeding 80 mm x 100 mm (3-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches). <br /> FORWARD LANDFILL 02645 <br /> 2 MISCELLANEOUS CIVIL IMPROVEMENTS <br />
