• <br />C. <br />• <br />WMU FU -03, WMU F -West Leachate Impoundment and Desilting Basin <br />Forward Landfill <br />February 2004 <br />Job No. 021605.03 <br />2.1.2 WMU F -West Leachate Impoundment Components <br />The WMU F -West Leachate Impoundment encompasses approximately 1 acre. The <br />composite liner system installed within the WMU F -West Leachate Impoundment area <br />consists of the following components (from top to bottom): <br />Primary 60 -mil thick single -sided textured HDPE geomembrane; <br />Drainage geonet; <br />• Secondary 60 -mil thick double -sided textured HDPE geomembrane; <br />• Geosynthetic clay liner (GCL); and <br />Prepared subgrade. <br />2.1.3 Desilting Basin Components <br />The desilting basin area encompasses approximately 1.5 acres. The construction of the <br />desilting basin consisted of excavation of approximately 15,000 cubic yards of material. <br />A liner system was not installed within the desilting basin. <br />2.2 Project Construction Summary <br />The construction of WMU FU -03, Desilting Basin and F -West Leachate Impoundment <br />was conducted from September 18, 2003, and substantially completed by February 3, <br />2004, and consisted of the construction of the liner system and appurtenances for each <br />phase. <br />Vector Engineering, Inc. • 143E Spring Hill Drive • Grass Valley, CA 95945 • (530) 272-2448 <br />-3- <br />
