December 4,2003 1 Thursday General Contractor: Liner Contractor: Project Engineer: Sukut Construction GSE San Beta Lewis General Foreman: Liner Superintendent: Others: Tim Sues Are Khounmo ang Bryan Fritzler Source and Description of Fill Material: Weather: CQA Technician: Native, stockpiled,light brown silty Clay Cold, overcast and Ken Davila wind Equipment on site: 1-16G blade, 1-!kiE loader, 1-backhoe NOTES(Describe work completed during the day,any problems and their solutions): I arrived on site and met with the GSE foreman who stated that twelve-ounce(12oz) geotextile deployment would continue throughout the day in the western half of the cell floor.By shift's end,the 12ounce deployment was complete. Sukut Construction finished welding the perforated pipes to be placed into the"V"ditches on the cell floor 0 and began to place the eight-ounce(8oz)geotextile into the cell floor drainage ditches. The sump pipe for the leachate pond was placed and the Sukut foreman stated that standing water would begin to be pumped out. The blade finished backfilling the west anchor trench along the west slope/berm between the sedimentation pond and the cell. At the end of the day,the sump pipe was placed into the FU-03 cell. Bryan F. (Vector's project manager)was briefly on site to review project and to collect data sheets pertinent to the final report. One(1)bucket of the minus one inch(-F)coarse gravel was also picked up for transportation to the Vector laboratory and will be tested for constant head permeability.
