GSE
General Foreman: Liner Superintcndcnt: Other;
Source and Description of Fill Material: Weather. CQA Technician:
Rainy-Ws Monte Christie
Equipment onsite.
DA Scra er,Backhoe
NOTES(Describe work completed during the day,any problems and their solutions):
Sukut Construction was spreading LCRS gravel that was previously placed before the rains stopped
construction. CQA verified required thickness of gravel. Once the gravel was spread to proper thickness,
the Contractor placed the filter geotextile over the top of the gravel in preparation for operations layer
placement. However, due to current rains, construction was stopped and the placement of the operations
Oyer will wait until better weather.
During gravel spreading, the dozer operator accidentally cut the liner with the edge of the dozer track. The
area was marked for repair for when GSE is back on site.
CQA noticed water beneath the liner at the east LCRS trench north of the gravel placement. The water
appears to be coming from surface water entering at the northeast corner where there is only plywood over
exposed edge of liner. The Contractor re-graded the top of slope to redirect surface water away from slope.
The Contractor also placed soil over the exposed edge of liner and plywood in the corner area. See attached
map showing extent of water beneath liner.
Schedule was discussed with Contractor and it was agreed that CQA could leave site, as the Contractor will
not be performing any work until weather improves.
Prepared By: Reviewed By:
4/23/03.Rev.0 1 of 1
C-2
