January 20, 2004 Tuesday General Contractor: Liner Contractor: Project Engineer: Guinn Construction GSE San Beta Lewis General Foreman: Liner Superintendent: Others: Lay Wellen Are Khounmouan Curtis Donahue Guinn Source and Description of Fill Material: Weather: CQA Technician: Imported—3/8" Granular Drainage Material, Cold,overcast(drizzling)and calm to Ken Davila imported—1"Coarse Grained Rock and native breezy stockpiled cla s Equipment on site: 1-136 dozer, 1-966 loader, 1-138 dozer, 1-330 excavator,3-13250 haul trucks, 1-LGP D6 dozer, 14-belly dump trucks, 1-D350 haul truck, 1-TH103 extendalift loader, 8-transfer trucks NOTES(Describe work completed during the day,any problems and their solutions): Guinn construction continued placing granular drainage material on the western edge and northwest corner of the FU-03 cell floor, working south to north. Prior to placing the eight-ounce(8 oz)geotextile,the thickness of the drainage rock was checked with the measuring rod and also placed using a GPS system attached to the dozers. Operations layer was placed in the northwest quadrant edge of the cell floor. The operations layer material was taken from the on site stockpile. Both the minus 3/8 inch and the minus 1 inch rock were imported throughout the day using the belly dumps and transfers,respectively. I met with Butch(Forward)to inform him that the liner installer is scheduled to arrive on Thursday(1-22- 04)morning to perform repairs,the surveyor of record needs to be on site the same day and that Leak Detection Services should be scheduled for the 27th of this month(next Tuesday). One sieve analysis was completed on the minus 3/8"granular drainage material and one sample was obtained of the minus 1"coarse grained material to be used in the cell sump.
