October 20,2003 Monday General Contractor: Liner Contractor: Project Engineer: Sukut Construction GSE San Beta Lewis General Foreman: Liner Superintendent: Other: David Hasal Source and Description of Fill Material: Weather: CQA Technician: On site native, light brown silty CLAY Warm, clear and Ken Davila bree Equipment on site: 1-D6 dozer, 1-water truck, 1-D5 dozer, 1-633 sora er 1- 16G blade NOTES(Describe work completed during the day,any problems and their solutions): I arrived on site today and met with Sukut's foreman to discuss the week's plan of operation. Sukut Construction continued the earthworks operations with the 16G blade cutting the east FU-03 cell floor area and the scraper hauling the excess cut material to the stockpile. The D6 dozer continued cutting the north and east slopes of the leachate pond and the D5 dozer continued cutting the south and east slopes and the floor of the desilting pond. Sukut's surveyors were on site today to plot points on the cell floor. Review of the certifications of all delivered products continued throughout the day. On site lab testing o the clay material continued with one(1)bulk composite bucket being obtained from the stockpile. Samples were split,weighed and placed into the oven for moisture content and tomorrow's testing. The material will be tested for Atterberg limits,proctor curve and sieve analysis(gradation). Bryan F. (Vector)verbally informed me by phone that permeability test numbers CL-1 through CL-4 had preliminary results that were within specification and that final values could be obtained before the weekly meeting on Wednesday(10-22-03).
