Second Quarter 2008 Groundwater Treatment <br /> Facility Monitoring Report <br /> Forward Landfill WDR Order No. 5-2003-0080 <br /> 1.0 Summary <br /> This Second Quarter 2008 Monitoring Report for the Forward Incorporated(Forward) <br /> Landfill Groundwater Treatment Facility (GTF) presents the monitoring results for influent <br /> and effluent.This report was prepared as stipulated by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (CV Water Board) Waste Discharge Requirements (WDR) Order <br /> No.R5-2003-0080,which was adopted on April 25,2003. <br /> Following review of the information presented in this document,the following conclusions <br /> were made: <br /> • The GTF operated for 2,161 hours between April 1 and June 30,2008,at 99.0 percent <br /> uptime,and treated 25.793 million gallons of groundwater. During this period,the GTF <br /> removed approximately 2.3 pounds of volatile organic compounds (VOC). <br /> • During second quarter 2008,effluent samples collected in April,May,and June met <br /> WDR Order No. R5-2003-0080 for VOCs. No VOCs were detected. <br /> • The GTF flow meter was discovered inoperable during a routine site visit on <br /> June 3,2008.The flow sensor was repaired and the flow meter put back into service on <br /> June 16,2008. <br /> ' 2.0 Operational Summary <br /> The GTF operated for 2,161 hours between April 1 and June 30,2008,at 99.0 percent uptime, <br /> and treated 25.793 million gallons of groundwater at an average flow rate of 195 gallons per <br /> minute, or 0.281 million gallon per day.
