. Sample Documentation and Custody Field notes will be recorded on daily field technician reports which tett filed in the project file. Information to be recorded will include at aminimum the protect name, project number, date, sample locadon.weather,and name of sampler. Other information which may be pertinent to the project will be recorded,including any deviations from the standard procedures. Each page will be signori upon completion. An example of a-Field Technician's Daily Report is located in Appendix B, ' Collected samples will be accompanied by a chairs-of-custody record. Each saarple will have its own unique sample identification number, sample location, date and tune of collection, and appropriate preservative clearly labeled with a permanent marker along'with-a sample custody_ seat affixed around the sample bottle cap. The unique sample identification number consists ofa unique five-digit number_ The information described above including the unique sample identification number, along with the analyses to be performed, will be included on the Purge CharacterizWon and'Sample Log. Samples wilt be stored,with the chain Of custody. in the iced coolers,.and packed in foam bottle forms or odder n1 taiad to reduce Potential breakage. At the end of the day the technician will drive to the office where the _ samples will be placed vadat chain-of-custody co nirol in the sample control refrigerator.
